Poster Presentation Information & Guidelines

All poster sessions will take place at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort in the Arizona Ballroom.

NEW THIS YEAR! In addition to preparing your poster presentation, all poster presenters are requested to electronically publish their poster presentations prior to or during the Conference. Click here for upload instructions. Electronic publication of your presentation materials has no affect on the Conference proceeding publication of your paper.

For your poster presentation, please take note of the following:

  • Posters need to be prepared electronically since a PDF copy has to be uploaded in Indico. The poster is then available via the Conference Timetable for all attendees. This will drastically enhance the visibility and dissemination of your work. Your presentation should be uploaded prior to the Conference but no later than by the time your presentation takes place. If you are having difficulties uploading your poster presentation, please see the staff in the Speaker Ready Room (San Luis room).
  • Good methods to produce a poster is by using MS PowerPoint, MS Publisher, MS Word, Corel Draw, or a similar program, and saving the file in PDF format for easy submission.  An example of a proper poster prepared in MS PowerPoint can be found here.
  • Each horizontal poster board measures 4 ft (height, top to bottom) x 8 ft (width, right to left), (122 cm x 244 cm) and has two sides. Please make note that each side also includes a metal border of about one (1) inch which cannot be used.
  • Each presentation is assigned to one side of the board.
  • Please display your assigned presentation/program ID in the title area of your poster.
  • Poster presenters are expected to arrange their material before the session starts, and to be available during the poster session to answer questions and discuss their papers with attendees. You may want to bring pre-prints for handout.
  • Only papers that are presented may be considered for publication. For posters, the word presented means that an author must be present at the poster during the entire session. Attendance will be taken by the session chairs. If an author is not available to answer questions and discuss the poster during the session, the paper written from this poster will not be published in the IOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering (MSE).
  • If you have more than one poster and they are not side by side, then you need to spread your time over all poster presentations. Please add a note on the poster board as to what time you will be present and also inform the session chair(s).
  • It is NOT acceptable to merely post a copy of your paper. Such papers will be marked as “no-show”.

Please note that CEC/ICMC 2015 accepts no responsibility for material that may be left behind, lost, stolen, or damaged.

If you need to make changes or withdraw your abstract from the program BEFORE the Conference, please contact Centennial Conferences via e-mail. Please be sure to include your abstract or presentation/program id number on any correspondence.

If you need to make changes or withdraw your presentation from the program ON-SITE at the Conference, please advise the staff in the Publications Office (San Luis room).
